IELTS BOOKING ONLINE AND OFFLINE: A BREAKDOWN

Complete and correct information about IELTS booking is essential for all test takers. Candidates must ensure it is done properly or they risk losing money and time in this process.

BITTS wants you to save its candidates as much as they can, and we suggest you value gathering complete and accurate information about the IELTS exam booking process beforehand.

This is exactly the purpose of today’s post, and it will detail all intricacies of the online and offline IELTS booking processes.

About Online IELTS Booking

The processes of getting IELTS scheduled offline and online is significantly different. Not all candidates have access to the technology to book this international exam.

Some test takers prefer the online IELTS booking to save time. They often cannot travel to do the booking and hence resort to using the Internet to complete their IELTS booking.

The Proper Online IELTS Booking Process

For proper online IELTS bookings, you will need access to a smartphone, tablet, desktop, or laptop with a stable Internet connection. As well, you will need:

  • Your credit card information.
  • Your educational documents.
  • Your national identification documents.

We then invite you to visit the official website of BITTS Group. We are a British Council-approved network of more than 30 IELTS testing centers in five Canadian provinces.

  • Click the Book IELTS Test option once you are on our official website’s home page.
  • Select the test location of your choice from the listed options.
  • Opt for the test type you want to book an exam center for—i.e. IELTS Academic or IELTS General Training.
  • Pick the test location of your choice one more time.
  • If you require special (disability etc.) request, must check the box – I have accessibility needs for the test dates.
  • Continue the IELTS Test Booking process by choosing suitable exam dates from the calendar.
  • If needed, you can change the Speaking Test Date.
  • Proceed to the Book Test option.
  • Login to your Test Taker Portal and pay your exam fee to conclude the process online.
  • You will get a confirmation email or message once you pay the fee.

The Offline IELTS Test Booking Process

This method is for those that do not have access to smartphones, tablets, laptops, or desktops. The offline process can be a bit more complex and time-consuming. However, it is useful and has its own process to follow:

  • Visit the British Council-approved BITTS IELTS paper booking centre near your area.
  • Ensure verbal communication with the available authorities to get the application form. Fill it immediately.
  • You must attach a copy of your passport on both the front and back sides of the application form.
  • If needed, attach observation pages.
  • You can pay your exam fee using your credit or debit card, or by cheque.
  • You must carry the original copy of the deposit slip to the test center/input node from where you have applied. It will work as proof of payment.
  • Ask the booking staff to submit your IELTS paper booking application for a tentative seat reservation.
  • Do not forget to sign the Terms and Conditions form mentioned in your application.

Whatever method you chose to book your IELTS test at BITTS, ensure it is the one that suits you best and you feel most comfortable with. We suggest that you complete whichever registration process you choose as thoroughly as possible.
