The day before your IELTS Exam

It is important to learn to cope up with exam stress to give a strong performance in the exam. Here are
some tips that will help the test takers to manage stress and perform well in the test.

  • Test takers can warm up their minds by starting to think in the English language at least a day before the exam. Thinking in English is good practice in that situation.
  • Get things ready a day before the exam like ID or Passport, pencil, eraser, and transparent water bottle.
  • Test takers are allowed to carry a transparent water bottle inside the test room. So, make sure to carry transparent bottles only.
  • Take a good 8 hours of sleep a day before the exam in order to perform well. Good sleep is the key to a fresh mind and stressful performance.
  • Never leave anything till tomorrow. Get your clothes ready the day before the exam. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes to maintain your confidence throughout the test.
  • Double-check with the Test Center regarding the required ID for the test day.
  • Remember to use the restroom before the registration process. There is no such thing as a scheduled break between the listening, reading, and writing section of the test. It takes 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete these three components.
  • Listen carefully to all the test day instructions before, during, and after the test.
  • Make sure to double-check the test location, the test center, and the timings of the exam the night before.
  • The test takers receive instructions regarding arrival times and regarding general instructions in an email from the test center according to British Council Guidelines. Always arrive on time by following those instructions.
  • Be confident and calm throughout all components of the test and do your best.

How IT Education Can Kickstart a Great Career

The Future, Here and Now

While it’s great to have a lot of career options, it’s important to consider what type of education provides the best kinds of jobs—that is to say, jobs that are exciting and have growth potential for the future. IT [Information Technology] is at the top of that list. It is in demand globally, is ever evolving, and very challenging to practitioners. There may be no other career option that is as creative and productive as IT.

The Need to Know

As mentioned, IT is always evolving. Many amateur networking and cabling enthusiasts believe one can simply read up and practice IT procedures on their own before talking their way into an entry level job in the field. Perhaps, but it’s rarely the case. There are so many theoretical frameworks to understand and many everchanging practices one has to be aware of that employers only wish to consider those candidates that have the background in these areas before offering a job.

Today’s IT education is both challenging in knowledge and, later, practical tasks, such as how to set up a network, cable correctly, collect data, et al. Whether your goal is working hands-on in the field, managing a team, or working in development, there’s a lot one needs to know well beforehand.

Going Forward Even More

IT is also multifaceted since there are other career opportunities with an IT credential. Jobs, as varied as technical writing, hardware and supply deployment, database management, and social media management, are just to name a few. If hardcore networking, cabling, and technological architecture jobs don’t appeal to you, other related jobs to IT may and thus give the student even more jobs to apply for upon graduation.

Food Handler Certification Course:

A Great and Exciting Industry

Food. We all love it and some people love it so much that they desire to be part of the industry. Specialty dishes, menu creation, customer service, cuisine experimentation – it’s as exciting and fast-paced as work comes. Sadly, they have no idea how to enter the service industry to get started. However, there is a method: having a food handler certification can help you gain access to almost all food service roles.

What’s Involved

Many people think, “Come on…you really need a certification to handle food? Why?” While food service seems relatively simple, there are a lot of complexities involved. This includes how to transport and store food, temperature monitoring during cooking to ensure thorough safety for consumption, bacterial growth conditions, and so much more. The Food Handler’s Certificate covers all of these topics from food safety laws, food contamination preventions, to proper restaurant and food service premises maintenance. The course comes with testing to ensure students get a comprehensive understanding of food handling right from the onset of their food service career.

Quick but Complete

Some people think that to enter the food service industry, you can only start in a low-rung job in a restaurant washing dishes for ages before even getting a chance to handle or cook food. With the Food Handler’s certificate, students get a one-day course involving theory, practices, and understanding so that they can get that higher level of entrance potential into the food service industry without all of the traditional job stress. By the end of the day, you’ll have the knowledge to work with food right away.

Body and Soul: The Exciting and Introspective World of Ayurveda

When it comes to your health, you want the best for yourself: great doctors, personal trainers, and dietitian advice. You need the knowledge to keep yourself healthy and feel better. These days many people seek out holistic health resources to add to or improve on their existing practices. One of these, Ayurveda, is one of the most popular. Originating in India over three thousand years ago, citizens the world over often seek it out to help improve their day-to-day health.

What is Ayurveda?

A complementary health system, Ayurveda is based on the concept that great daily health is created through a balance of one’s three key physical and metaphysical characteristics: mind, body, and spirit. If you’re able to keep a balance, your health with be sustained. The study of Ayurveda focuses on maintaining that three-way balance over time.

Breaking it Down

Ayurveda practitioners focus on five human elements: earth, water, fire, space, and air. To use the proper terminology, the Ayurveda combines those five elements into the proper doshas or life energies—Vata dosha [space and air], Kapha dosha [water and earth], and Pitta dosha [fire and water]. Each dosha controls certain aspects of the body’s health, such as Vata dosha dealing with basic body functions, Pitta dosha dealing with your digestion and body metabolism, and Kapha dosha covering your bodily strengths and immunity.

Controlling the Chakras

Once you grasp the fundamentals of Ayurveda, you learn how to maintain the energy levels of the body. One key aspect of this is diet and cleansing the body of undigested food, better known as panchakarma. This leads to maintaining core energy or chakra levels. Your Ayurveda instructor assists with this with advice on diet, exercise, and meditation practices.
